LG introduce LG GD900 with transparent keypad at the Mobile World Congresss 2009 the GD900, the world’s first transparent design phone. The GD900 comes with a sliding, translucent keypad. The keypad will glow in the dark so you can find the transparent numbers more easily, but LG has not yet released additional specifications

LG doesn’t release technical information of the phone but we can expect a color display, and a camera and a front camera for video calls and support for HSDPA 7.2Mbps. The phone will come with a transparent headset.

Apple providing new applications in iphone

Apple has quietly started allowing Web browser applications in. This was a most shocking in the near past. Apple has introduced a small bunch of browser apps were recently let into the App Store. They include the free Edge Browser, the historyless Incognito ($1.99), the tabbed WebMate ($0.99), and something called Shaking Web ($1.99) that attempts to make Web sites easier to read.

The browser apps currently in the App Store all have some kind of quirk that sets them apart from standard browsers and that was the Safari browser which is preinstalled on the iPhone. Until now, Apple had not approved third-party browsers for the App Store.

It should be noted whether Apple will allow completely third party browsers like Firefox or Opera to operate upon their perstigious models like iphone.

Acer going to rule the indian markets

Acer releases the availability of Aspire One netbook in Indian market at a reasonable price.

The features of Aspire One net book are 8.9-inch LCD screen, up to 160 GB of HDD, Intel Atom processor, 1 GB RAM, built-in webcam, easy-to-use one Mail software application suite and battery life of up to 3 hours.

According to S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India, “With this new net book I have no doubt that we will make the dream getting onto the mobile computing bandwagon a reality for millions of our country men. People now have access to the best net book in the world at the most amazing price points.”

It supports Messenger for Instant Messaging with Microsoft Messenger, Skype and various other messaging services.

The Acer Aspire One is available in Brown, Pink & White, Sapphire Blue and Black. The net book is available at the cost price of Rs. 14,499 while the Aspire One, running on Windows XP Home operating system can be purchased at a retail price of Rs. 16,449.

LG Cookie KP500

LG Cookie KP500, is the latest model phone introduced by the LG company. With this new LG Cookie KP500 mobile phone, they are bringing an affordable touchscreen phone to the masses. The main feature of the phone is full-frontal touch-screen handset just like Samsung's Pixon, or LG's Renoir.

The major highlight of this new phone from LG is that there's an accelerometer that swivels the screen round between portrait and landscape formats as you move the phone in your hands, or play games that take advantage of this feature.

Carphone Warehouse has it for £35 a month on Orange Dolphin, £40 a month on T-Mobile Combi and £45 a month on O2, all for 18 months. The phone weighs just 89g and measure 106.5mm tall, 55.4mm wide and 11.9mm thick. And at first glance the Cookie looks rather like LG's own Renoir.

Some of the major features of the phone are Java 2.0, FM Radio, 3 MP Camera, 48MB Internal, MemoryMicro SD (up to 8GB), MP3 and Bluetooth. Also the basic specifications are Tablet type, 900mAh battery, 89g weight, Up to 350 hr Standby time, Up to 3.5 hr talktime, External LCD (Pixel), 240 x 400, 3 inch.

T-Mobile introduced Samsung SGH-T119

T-Mobile have introduced new Samsung SGH-T119, with the candy bar design which is as simple as you can get, as is the pale gray color scheme. It was debuted at the CES, where there is always room for basic phones. The major disadvantage related with the phone is that it's only dual-band (GSM 850/1900), so it cannot be used outside the United States or Canada.

Features in the phone are lesser when compared with younger generation phones also they are simple too. There is a calendar, a calculator, an alarm clock, a currency converter, messaging, speed dialing, a speakerphone, a voice recorder, support for T-Mobile's myFaves, and a Web browser. You also get photo caller ID, though the T119 doesn't have a camera.

The phone will be available in the market by the month of February.

At the $899 starting price that Sony expects the unit to command when it ships in February, it had better do more than be small. The components of P series laptop includes a 60GB hard-disk drive,a battery that promises 4 hours battery life, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Qualcomm's Gobi chip set for wireless broadband,two USB ports, a headphone jack, a display/LAN adapter connection, a Webcam with built-in mic, an SD Card slot, and a Memory Stick card slot.

The screen and the keyboard are crucial components of this Sony P series notebooks. The device was built around a QWERTY keyboard that is 88 percent the size of a standard desktop keyboard, and we won't know whether it is comfortable and usable until we conduct some fingers-on testing. Sony laptops typically have sweet screens, backlit LED up close and personal--especially since the P-series notebooks have a resolution of 1600 by 768 pixels, a 16:7 aspect ratio.

Sony plans to have this machine run Windows Vista Basic rather than Windows XP. At least Sony has taken a cue from the HP Voodoo Envy 133 and from Asus's laptops by incorporating a quick-launching (20-second startup) Linux shell. The Instant Mode boots into a cross-media bar interface that should be familiar to anyone who has ever used a PlayStation 3.

Samsung's thinnest LCD Television

Currently, Philips holds the distinction of being the manufacturer of the thinnest LCD television, the 8mm prototype was unveiled at the IFA electronics show in Berlin last year. And now, Samsung is all set to break that record at the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. Samsung Electronics is likely to hog the limelight with its 6.5-7 millimeters thin flat-panel TV.

The thinnest LCD TV available in retail stores today belongs to Sony at 9.9mm. Sony also holds the unique distinction of being the only manufacturer to launch the first commercial OLED (organic light emitting diode) TV - the 11-inch XEL-1 - in the US market. The only detail available about the Samsung's new product is that the TV has an LED (light emitting diode) backlight, resting behind the LCD panel. TV manufacturers today prefer LEDs for their thinness and better overall light.

When the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas gets finished, it will neither Sony nor Philips that will be standing proudly but the team of Samsung with their new record beraking product.

Sony Eicsson had released yet another phone in the market. They are now concentrating on the cybershot. And all of those mobiles which are cybershot which are released had given them a great feedback. Here the Sony Ericsson releases the new phone C510.

The C510 Kate phone has a larger 2.2 inch QVGA TFT display than its predecessor. The phone sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with features like auto focus, LED flash, auto rotation, smile shutter, face detection. You can record videos in QVGA 340 x 240 pixel resolution. The Kate phone also incorporates a direct blog key that is assumed to link you to the blogging software directly.

The CyberShot C510 phone comes packed in with a 160 MB memory. You can also upload videos to YouTube. The auto rotation feature will automatically rotate the images from landscape mode to portrait mode or vice versa. It is also accompanied with dedicated shortcut keys for quick access.

The Sony Ericsson C510 Kate phone is expected to get release in February and its price have not been disclosed yet. Also we can expect that this phone should also hit the market with great success.

New mobile from Philips

Philips, giants in the elecronic network are now launching their new mobile phone Xenium X710 dual SIM phone in Russian market. It comes packed in 20 MB internal memory that can be increased up to 8 GB through mircoSD card. Dimensions of the phone are registered as 113.6 x 49.1 x 16.9 mm and it only weighs around 114g.

Dell is going to release their slimest laptop ,Adamo.According to the reports Dell Adamo will be an ultrathin laptop to compete with Apple's Macbook Air.Dell added the name Adamo to the official website.But there is no details about Dell Adamo in the site.Only available detail is "Coming Soon".

Adamo was first planned to be released this month, but has been pushed back until at least February. Adamo will sport a black and silver color scheme similar to the Studio XPS.Adamo will be available at a price cheaper than Apple Macbook Air.

The Google cache suggests the Adamo will be packing DisplayPort for video out and eSATA for storage, and that Dell plans to release a host of peripherals alongside the sleek machine. The peripherals visible in the cache are a 2x Blu-Ray combo drive and a selection of external 2.5" hard drives, ranging up to 500GB capacity. This kind of peripheral use would allow for a very slim body, but at the expense of easy portability. We'll have to see how Dell plans to reconcile the issue.

Recycling Campaign By Nokia

Nokia is going to conduct a camaign related to the concept of recycling.The campaign will be launched from Thursday (January 1) named 'Take Back' encouraging mobile phone users to dispose of their used handsets and accessories, regardless of the brand, at any of the recycling bins set up across Nokia priority dealers and Nokia care centres.The ‘Take back’ campaign mainly aims to increase awareness of the concept of recycling.For each handset dropped into recycling bins, Nokia will be planting a tree, besides giving gifts to people participating in its campaign.

"We have laid out a robust recycling infrastructure across the country with over 1,300 recycling bins installed at our centre across India. We work with qualified recyclers around the world to ensure proper end-of-life treatment of used devices,” said Nokia India Vice-President and Managing Director D. Shivakumar. As part of its initiative to educate mobile phone users on the importance of recycling of e-waste, India’s top mobile phone seller will begin the initiative from Delhi and then gradually roll out the programme in phases across the country.
